Should greater effort be invested in promoting Switzerland's traditions or rather its role as a centre of innovation? Why are Switzerland's cities its main tourist attractions? These are just a couple of the issues that constantly challenge Switzerland Tourism.

This umbrella organization works with a broad array of partners in the tourism industry to support one of the Swiss economy's prime revenue sources. By promoting the country's hospitality, know-how, originality and natural riches, the art of making the most of this exceptional place constitutes a key branch of the national economy.

Switzerland has been drawing tourists since the 19th century, thanks in great part to Romanticism and nature-lovers. Today, tourism is the country's fourth export branch, employing people in 145,000 fulltime jobs.
