SCIJ Switzerland
Welcome to the Swiss section of the International Ski Club of Journalists.
Established in Lausanne by the greatly missed Marcel Pasche, the Swiss section has around 70 member journalists working in everything from the press to television and radio. Most hail from the French part of Switzerland, but they are joined by several colleagues from the German part of the country and the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino.
This major national club is part of the International SCIJ and stages around 10 outings each year: training sessions at the start of the season; social ski days; the National Trophy; a weekend of cross-country skiing; a ski-touring excursion; and a summer get-together.
Club members gather worlds away from the office in order to play, ski and chat together about the profession and current affairs. It is a great way to network! The club also provides members with a chance to express their competitive side in sporting fashion in a giant slalom contest for the traditional Marcel Trophy, which takes place every March.
